Understanding of nodules in Chinese medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the formation of nodules is mainly related to qi knots, phlegm coagulation and blood stasis, among which qi knots are most closely related to the liver.

This is because, in our five internal organs, the liver is in charge of drainage, and the normal operation of liver qi is directly related to the rise and fall of the human body's qi.

"The Yellow Emperor's Internal Classics: Yin and Yang should be like the Great Treatise": The liver is angry in the will, and anger hurts the liver.

People who are often angry or sulking are more likely to cause liver qi stagnation, and if the liver qi is stagnant and the qi is not smooth, it is easy to develop nodules.

If it is only an air nodule, the nodules that appear are often large and small, changeable, and not easy to form, and each examination report will also show that the nodules are intermittent and uncertain.

For this kind of person, the most important thing is to clear the liver and regulate qi.

Method 1: Drink tangerine peel orange leaf tea

The orange leaf is sweet, pungent and flat, enters the liver and lung meridians, and has the function of soothing the liver and qi, dissolving phlegm and reducing swelling.

People who are usually introverted, lack of communication with the outside world, and are in a state of depression when their emotions are not reached, they can drink some tangerine peel orange leaf tea.

Take 10 grams of tangerine peel and 20 grams of fresh orange leaves. First, pick and wash the fresh orange leaves, put them in a casserole with an appropriate amount of water together with the tangerine peel, soak and decoction for 20 minutes, filter the juice, and drink instead of tea.

Method 2: Pat the middle acupoint

Frequent rubbing or patting of the acupoints can untie the stagnation in the chest, and those with such problems can pat the acupoints 30~50 times a day, and the strength is not painful.

Only when the stagnation of liver qi develops further, the spleen and spleen are damaged, the spleen and stomach are lost, and phlegm coagulation occurs; or when blood stasis occurs when blood flow is unfavorable, the nodule will form and fix in one place.

Then turn the thermos cup upside down several times to allow the water to soak the herbs thoroughly. It can be drunk after 20 minutes of rest. This medicinal tea can be brewed repeatedly until the taste is light.

Method 2: Rub the three acupoints

Periodophyll: Located on the chest, when the nipple is straight down (the nipple is the 4th intercostal space), the 6th intercostal space is concave. Acupuncture points are taken in a sitting or supine position.

Sea of Blood: When sitting upright, keep your leg straight, with a raised muscle on the inner thigh above your knee, at the top of the muscle. Sit and take acupoints.

Diaphragm: When taking acupoints, first find the inferior corners of the scapula on both sides, flat to the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra, and open two horizontal fingers on the left and right sides of the spinous process. You can also turn your back and feel the depression between the shoulder blades and the vertebrae, one on the left and one on the left. Acupuncture points are taken in a sitting or prone position.

Operation steps: Using the method of finger kneading, each acupuncture point is kneaded for 2~3 minutes, and the operation is 1~2 times a day.

What to do if a nodule is found?

Pulmonary nodulesLung

nodules are not necessarily cancer, and many diseases can cause lung nodules.

If the diagnosis of lung nodules cannot be definitively defined, the nodules can be observed for about 3 months.

The prognosis of pure ground-glass nodules is good, and regular follow-up observation can be maintained if no significant changes are seen.

Some mixed ground-glass nodules that have no obvious changes after observation can be rechecked and followed up annually without special treatment.

If there is a nodule with early malignant morphological changes such as enlargement, solidification, and burr sign, the doctor will decide whether to perform surgery or other treatment.

Breast nodules

For benign nodules, follow-up should be followed up regularly without the need for special treatment.

For nodules that are benign or malignant, needle biopsy can be performed to determine the nature of the nodule based on the pathological diagnosis.

It should be noted that when a patient finds that he has a breast nodule, in the case of unknown condition, it is important not to press and knead the nodule at will, so as to avoid adverse consequences such as metastasis in a small number of breast cancer patients.

Thyroid nodules

At present, ultrasound is the first choice for screening thyroid nodules, and the vast majority of patients often find nodules during physical examination, and if they are preliminarily judged to be benign, they generally do not need to do needle biopsy, CT and other examinations.

In general, benign and malignant nodules do not interchange.

Definite benign nodules can be re-examined once a year, if there has been no obvious change, the re-examination cycle can be extended to 2~3 years with the course of the disease.

It should be noted that once thyroid nodules occur, it is unlikely to shrink through oral medications, so after the nodules are found, do not blindly use drugs or health products to "eliminate the nodules" to prevent damage to health.
